Its mopping functionality is also impressive, with the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply a constant pressure of more than 6 Newtons to the mop pad, resulting in deep cleaning. It also has a mop lifter system that lifts the pad automatically when it is able to switch between tile, laminate hardwood, carpet or rugs, to avoid soaking the soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad is capable of rinsing and drying in the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty and return to the dock. You can set it and forget about it. It is only necessary to replenish the water tank or change the dust bag every now and then.

All of this is powered by a 5,200mAh lithium-ion battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its normal mop and vac-settings for approximately 160 minutes before it began to lose power, and then returned to its base to recharge. This isn't far off from the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is at the same level with other hybrids I've tested.

It's a well-rounded, capable product. The only drawback is that it's pricey. But its abundance of features makes it a tempting option for anyone who wants to go away from their old stick vacuums and mop. We highly recommend this automatic vacuum and mop if you can justify its price.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium combination. The price is justified by the robust features, which include a massive vacuuming capacity and two mop heads that rotate. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller and powerful obstacle-avoidance technology.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combinations out there at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my testing it did well in all areas of the home, removing 98.4 percent of the debris on all floor types and managing to lift hair that is long without getting caught in. The mops were also excellent in delivering outstanding cleaning results with less effort than mid-range models, thanks to their rotational motion as well as the powerful cleaning solution.

The docking station is the real selling feature of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and modern. The docking station emptys the trash bin into a bag for dirt, then refills the water tank to use for mopping, and even dry your mop pads. It is equipped with a real-time danger detection system, and its smart controls allow you to schedule regular cleaning sessions.

In contrast to the other hybrid vacuum mops I've tested The L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced dirt pickup on carpets. The mops of the L10S Ultra are not as effective in removing tough staining as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features, it requires regular maintenance. To avoid mildew and unpleasant smells, the base station dustbag, water and tanks must be cleaned regularly, emptied, and dried. It is also important to note that the mop pads which are bought separately are required to be replaced regularly too.

Given the L10S Ultra's premium price tag and extensive functionality, I would recommend it to anyone who has the money for it. If you're on a smaller budget, I would suggest a less basic model that will allow you to save money while still enjoying hands-free cleaning at home. It's worth noting that even if the L10S Ultra is the best mop and robotic vacuum you can find but its high cost and constant maintenance will ultimately make it more of a wish than a necessity.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop you require to tidy up mess and remove dirt from your hard floors. This high-powered mop and robovac combo packs an impressive suction power of 8,000 Pa and a huge battery that can be used for mopping and vacuuming and a top-of-the-line obstacles-avoiding. It has a mop with a roller that is self-cleaning which makes it stand out from models which require you to return to the base station to wash off the mop pad.

The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a major departure from the microfibre pads and spinning discs that other robots. The roller is almost the entire width of the robot, and it gets a constant supply of fresh water that is filtered and ozonated from the dock. The roller scrubs the floor while soaking up dirt. Dry debris is swept away with the side brushes or swept away into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro then discharges the mop water that is dirty into its base station, which is then sucked up by the tank's heating elements and is poured into a larger storage canister. The onboard tank can hold a substantial amount of water and can handle up to a half dozen mopping sessions before rushing out.

Like many robot vacuums and mop combinations, the S1 Pro is ready to come out of the box. It will need to be filled with clean water, however this is easy to do within the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, if you prefer to have the option of using your own cleaner. Like many robots, the S1 Pro did well in navigation efficiency and coverage evaluations. It was quick to map the space and was able to navigate around furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a couple times on larger pile carpets and rugs in my tests however this can be fixed when the software is upgraded. The S1 Pro is a very robust robot cleaner with mop that is available at an affordable price.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock's entry level mop and vacuum cleaner but it does have several impressive features. The dock's multifunction emptying the robot's dirtbag and refilling its water tanks, and washing and sanitizing mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable of cleaning a good bit of an area before it has to return to its dock and the vacuum's powerful suction does a nice job of removing dirt and pet hair that accumulates on carpets.

The app that runs the appliance is dense, and offers various options for customizing the cleaning process. You can choose to manually start a full map and take care to clean everything that is that is mapped by the device or you can choose individual rooms, expandable zones or even a schedule you've crafted. There are many mopping options, including SmartPlan -- an algorithm that utilizes the sensors on the mops to find the most efficient method to clean your home while it maps the area.

The Qrevo performed well during our tests, just like the other Roborock models that we've test. Its navigation system is reliable, mapping rooms quickly and cleaning them in a neat fashion. Its 'Normal" pathing setting covers an area well, and doesn't leave any major gaps or missed areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system works fairly well, too, though it's not as advanced as the color camera system on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect the dangers of carpets that are thick but it might not always detect small things such as rug tassels or electrical wires.

The most obvious flaw with this machine is the lack of a mop after vacuum option, which could be an issue for those who are frequently vacuuming before cleaning their robot. There's a simple solution: the app offers a feature that allows you to "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. This allows you to use the mopping function of the vacuum to eliminate the last traces of debris and dust that are left behind by the vacuuming. It's a nice touch and can help the robot make its clean better than its less expensive competitors.
