The best automatic vacuum cleaner Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. Multitaskers are ideal for those who are looking to remove mopping from their to-do lists. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to go for. It is smaller than other models, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to sweep larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot mop vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and performs well however, it's something you'll have to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a wide range of features.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and efficiently. This ensures an even and thorough clean and is also rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of smart features. It is important to note that the device incurs periodic costs in the form of mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpgThis robot vacuum uk vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. It has a power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station after completing the cleaning process. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants to have a clean home without spending hours doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid option. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home tidy with little effort.

The Matrix Plus best robot hoover vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that includes an elastomer pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated, but they do mean you don't have to think about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test subjects discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan map, which it uses to draw a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to keep certain areas of your home from being cleaned with mop.

We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed, and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some nice jingles that let you know when it was beginning or finished its work.

Its main drawbacks were its simple app and the need to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it comes with some distinct features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path. It will avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
