It also doesn't have cameras that let it see the corners of the room.

Still, it's very good for those who want to save money on a iRobot Roomba and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's also very quiet and can be used while you're at work or going to school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming that is offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, relying on disposable wet wipes, which don't stick on for long and don't deal with dried-on debris. The Q5 does have a self-emptying dock, though. If you're in need of it clean the mopping pad, it can be swapped for an awe-inspiring one in a matter of just a few seconds.

2. iRobot Roomba

This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robotic hoovers vacuum/mop combos.

3. iRobot Roomba X40

With a sleek, circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxes this mop and robot vacuum is among the most appealing looking in our evaluations. iRobot’s latest flagship model is also among its most advanced. It comes with advanced features like Enhanced Dirt Detection and future compatibility (another company's robot that can wash mop pads autonomously).

It's also the only robotic automatic vacuum and mop/mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is thanks to a mix of modern sensors, including a restructured light system, a camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that can fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with a simple mobile app interface that is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's an eerily noisy device which could be a problem if you run it in the morning before work or in the evening as you attempt to sleep.

It's also quite expensive, but not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or the Roborock S8 Omni, which are equally powerful and more attractive. This is a two-in-one vacuum that's extremely powerful however, it's going to cost you more and create more noise.

iRobot L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a lot of advanced features that let you get rid of your chores. Similar to Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes charge of both mopping and vacuuming. It also comes with a front-mounted camera to detect hazards in real-time however, it wasn't 100% foolproof during our tests and was sometimes confused by power cords or other obstructions.
