This robovac offers impressive AI-powered obstacle avoidance. It also has powerful mopping, and an auto-emptying dock. It also comes with an HEPA filter that seals out allergens.

It's not as efficient in removing pet hair or other minor dirt as our top choices, but it's a great option for those on a budget. It also has the best features in terms of apps including virtual no-go zones and zone cleaning.

1. Roomba iRobot i3+ from iRobot EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a solid, well-built robot that does excellent job of vacuuming dry floors. It has a large dirt compartment on the outside that it automatically emptys when it reaches the docking stations and will resume cleaning once it has been recharged. It's effective in removing small and medium debris from floors with no floor but it isn't as effective in removing pet hair and has high recurring costs.

This robot, like the i3 EVO uses iRobot’s iAdapat navigation software to understand and remember your home. It also has a feature that automatically adjusts its head height and suction power based on the floor type it's working on.

It performed admirably in our tests on both hard floors and low-pile, removing the majority of the smaller, less difficult debris that we deposited on each surface, and the larger crumbs of cereal we placed on the floor. It's not as adept at picking up pet hair than other models we tested. It can also become stuck on cords or toys in the event that you don't take them off them prior to sending the robot to clean.

In our tests In our tests, the i3+ EVO cleaned for about 90 minutes before the battery ran low and it reverted to its original state. This is better than the i7+ or s9+ that was only able to run for 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO has a great track record of remembering its previous run, something we haven't seen with other robots.

The i3+ EVO's garbage bin has capacity of 1.5 quarts, which is smaller than the majority of the other robots we tested. It has a release button on one side of the bin that you press to empty it. You can also empty the bin using the docking station's Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, which sucks up the contents of the internal dustbin and then dumps it into the station's dirt bag.

2. Eureka Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro is a powerful mopping system with a suction of 5,500pa. It can be installed within a matter of minutes. The integrated 770ml water tank and dustbin reduce the frequency of emptying and its capacity is large, allowing longer mopping sessions. The 240-minute runtime makes it a great option for homes with larger spaces. The robot's advanced navigation technology, based on PreciSense LiDAR mapping ensures that it covers the entire space and can maneuver around obstacles.

Contrary to other robot vacuums like the Q5 Pro does not require Wi-Fi to operate. However, its battery life is quite short, so you will need to recharge it regularly if you intend to use the machine for a long time. It is fairly easy to maintain, with dirt bags that is easily replaced, and a simple maintenance schedule. It is also cheaper than its more expensive counterparts.

The Q5 Pro can be a little finicky when it comes to pet hair and larger debris, but it's a great product overall. In our tests, it cleared more debris on bare floors and carpets that are low-pile than the Dirt Devil Endura Max, however, it had a difficult time getting into the tight corners and recessed areas of carpets with high pile. It's also more maneuverable and its filtration system does an excellent job of capturing allergens. However, its straight suction floorhead is low to allow for the passage of medium or large-sized debris. There are also minor disadvantages, such as its lack of features that are more advanced and the limited functionality of the remote control. Despite these limitations however, the Eureka Q5 Pro is a solid option to those seeking an affordable, basic robot vacuum with mopping capability.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

If you're looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner with the ability to mop, the SwitchBot K10 Plus is an excellent choice. Its small size lets it reach places that larger robots cannot, such as corners and under furniture. It also features an advanced LiDAR sensor which can detect obstacles and avoid collisions.

During testing during our testing, the K10 Plus quickly and efficiently vacuumed dust, pet hair, crumbs, and other debris from our hardwood and carpet flooring. It also did a great job of squeezing into tight spaces like under our beds and around the legs of chairs. In addition to vacuuming, it is also able to perform mopping tasks using an additional cloth or a wet wipe. There is a small package of wet wipes included with the K10 Plus to get you started.

The application for the K10 Plus is intuitive and easy to use. It comes with a variety of options for customization such as setting a time that the machine won't be disturbed, changing the layout of its map or setting a timer of when it should clean. The app also tracks the usage of different tools like the filter, side brush and bin filter sensors. This is helpful for knowing when it's time to replace them.

The K10 Plus's battery life is pretty good too. We were able to get about three hours of cleaning of it with the full charge. It also charges fairly quickly. It releases dirt into a large bin located in the base station once it's finished. It can be very loud, but not as loud compared to other robot vacuums that we've test.

4. iRobot Roomba S9+

iRobot Roomba S9+ is part of the high-end S Series lineup above models like the iRobot Roomba j7 and iRobot Roomba i3. It is very effective on different flooring types and is able to maneuver around furniture. Its main brushroll is equipped with counter rotating rubber scrapers which effectively clean most debris including pet hair from floors and carpets. The suction power in real-world use is strong for a robot vacuum, but it's not quite as powerful as the suction power of high-end models like the Roborock S8.

The Roomba S9+'s design is distinctly elegant, with a D-shaped body that is more contemporary than its circular counterparts. This unique shape also helps it to get into corners and along edges with ease. While it can still leave some dust behind in these areas when the corner brush isn't turning fast enough the motor's power more than makes up for this.

In iRobot's tests in the lab, the S9+ picked up kitty-litter and pet hair with ease. It also performed exceptionally on hard floors where its powerful motor was able to take on all types of floors and corners and edges easily. Its advanced vSLAM technology as well as Imprint Smart Mapping made it one of the top navigators we have. It can find its way under sofas or beds with draped valances over them.

Setting up and operation is easy with the iRobot application. You can select which functions you want to activate when you first set up the robot, or you can wait until you've got an understanding of it. The internal bin needs to be empty manually when it becomes full The process takes about 15 seconds and is relatively quiet.

5. Roborock S8

This latest version of the Roborock S Series is a powerful robot vacuum and mop combination with a robust feature set. Like its predecessors, it utilizes the LIDAR sensor and camera system to aid in navigation and obstacle avoidance. The mapping system creates an interactive 3D map of your home that you can view through the app, and it allows you to define no-go zones, or certain rooms to be cleaned. The app allows you to control the robot's schedule, and also select different mopping and vacuuming modes for each room.

The S8 is equipped with upgraded HyperForce suction, which is able to pick up fine hair and particles with ease. The app lets you adjust the suction power. The device is able to automatically switch between energy efficient 'Quiet 'Balanced', and 'Turbo" modes based on the surface it is cleaning. It also has a 'Carpet Suction Boost' feature that increases suction when the robot is on carpets.

You can manage the S8 with one button, which also functions as a general "Clean button, or an 'Spot Clean button to direct the robot to that location. Press the 'Dock/Home button' to direct the robot to its home station. The app is surprisingly extensive features and is simple to use. It lets you select off-peak times for charging to reduce the cost of using peak-time power.

The only drawback to the S8 is that its battery isn't as long as it could allow for, with only 130 minutes of usage when I left it at its default settings with both vacuuming and mopping enabled. This is still a long duration and was enough to clean my apartment.
