It is definitely rounded with that Fold 5 versus the Fold 6. The bezel on that left-hand side is noticeably smaller, and this is where you can see the larger outside display.

Hey everybody, welcome back to the channel! My name is Jimmy, and today we will unbox the brand new Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, ipad 2 the Galaxy Z Fold 6, the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra. We’ll also explain what’s new with these devices and compare them to the previous year’s models. So, let’s dive in and get started with these exciting new releases.

First, we’ll open up the watches, then move on to the phones. I haven’t opened these up yet; they still have their little security tags on. For the Flip 6 and the Fold 6, I did open these up in New York to take photos, so I have some great photos and videos to show you. But first, let’s get these opened up.

Starting with the Galaxy Watch 7, there are two different sizes: 44 mm and 40 mm. The one we have here is the 44 mm in silver. The other color option is green. For the 40 mm version, you have the options of green and cream. As I open this up, I don’t see a huge difference between the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch 6, even though I own the Watch 6 Classic. The one thing you will miss, especially with the Classic, is the rotating physical bezel. With the Watch 7, you rotate your finger around the screen as if it were a physical bezel.

Taking the Watch 7 out, it looks very nice. The watch band is equipped with a power button on the top and a back button on the very back. The band has a quick-release mechanism, and the size is 20 mm. I’m curious if the bands are interchangeable between the Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra, which I will be using as my dedicated watch, has a more rugged design. It’s made for durability, suitable for ocean swimming, and can withstand high and low temperatures and altitudes. It has a 47 mm watch face and comes in titanium silver, titanium gray, and titanium white. The battery is larger, sitting at 590 mAh compared to the 425 mAh of the Watch 7’s 44 mm version.

Now, let's move on to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. We’ll start with the Fold 6 and give it a little comparison versus the Fold 5. Inside the box, you’ll find the usual accessories: a quick start guide and a charging cable (Type-C to Type-C). I had already unboxed this one in New York, so I’ll share some fresh footage of that as well.

My first impression of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is that it might be the first foldable device in a while that I’ll use as my main device. I used the Fold 1, 2, and 3 as my primary devices, but not the Fold 4 and 5, which felt too thick and heavy for daily use. With the Fold 6, the inner screen is larger and wider by 2.7 mm, and the cover screen is larger by 2 mm. This means I’ll need to open the device less often, making it more convenient to use.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 also has some upgrades over the Flip 5. The sensors are slightly larger, and the rings are painted to match the phone's color. It runs on the newer Samsung One UI 6, bringing some additional features.

Now, let’s delve deeper into the specifics and what makes these devices stand out this year.

Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra: In-Depth Look

The Galaxy Watch 7 comes in two sizes, 44 mm and 40 mm, with color options of silver, green, and cream. The 44 mm version has a 1.5-inch screen, while the 40 mm has a 1.3-inch screen. Both watches use sapphire crystal displays. The 44 mm version has a battery of 425 mAh, while the 40 mm version has 300 mAh. Both watches feature Bluetooth 5.3.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra, designed for extreme conditions, is available in 47 mm with color options of titanium silver, titanium gray, and titanium white. It boasts a 1.5-inch screen, 2 GB of memory, and 32 GB of internal storage. The battery is a robust 590 mAh. It’s designed to withstand ocean swimming and extreme temperatures and altitudes.

Unboxing the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6

The Galaxy Z Fold 6, when compared to the Fold 5, is slightly lighter by 14 grams and has larger screens. The inner screen is 2.7 mm wider, and the cover screen is 2 mm larger. These changes make the device more user-friendly and less bulky. The Fold 6 is also rated for 200,000 folds, equating to about 10 years of use. The cameras on the Fold 6 have slightly larger sensors, which means older cases might not fit.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6, on the other hand, doesn’t have as many design changes compared to the Flip 5. The sensors are larger, and the device runs on One UI 6, bringing some new features. The screen protectors are pre-installed and should be kept on for protection.

Comparing the Fold 5 and Fold 6

When comparing the Fold 5 to the Fold 6, the differences are subtle but significant. The Fold 6 has a more rectangular shape, smaller bezels, and a larger display. The hinges on the Fold 6 are also more durable, rated for 200,000 folds. This ensures longevity and reliability over time.

Comparing the Flip 5 and Flip 6

The Flip 6 doesn’t have many noticeable design changes from the Flip 5. The biggest difference is the larger sensors and the painted rings that match the phone's color. The Flip 6 also benefits from the newer One UI 6, which adds some functionality.

Final Thoughts

This year’s upgrades are significant for the Fold series, while the Flip series had its major changes last year. The Galaxy Watch Ultra stands out with its rugged design and premium features, making it a great choice for those who need a durable and versatile smartwatch.
