The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for an affordable robot vacuum and mop. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

In tests, it was able to handle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR however, as other models do, to locate your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automated schedules to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the click of one button. You can select an overall clean that emphasizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as cereal and rice or go for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure that your home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system, the best robot vacuum and mop Combo which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. We think this is a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system uses sensors to store the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. It can then clean your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it does not have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if want to get one of the best robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the higher-powered ones create minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with an object, such as a wall or furniture piece it gently smacks into it and then moves along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled because of a full dust bin.

You can also design and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo treats your abode. This is an excellent feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different flooring materials or if there's items that need to be cleaned out frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can also remove wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically empties and washes the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a sensor system that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most notable improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris and is easier to empty when required.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even if you are not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop that comes with a range of convenience features that you do not often find on robots at this price range. It can build precise floor vacuum robot maps, recognize various flooring types, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are great however, they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that is used as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for households with children or pets.

Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as great at tackling sand on the hard floor and the quaker oats that are on carpet.
