World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of an item can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade you choose, it can increase the rarity of an item or mark Level, and also boost other stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next one by a set amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all the leveled up advantages (attack, magic attack and defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high depending on the upgrader you choose and the type of upgrade you choose to perform. This is due to the fact that many perks need to be replaced in order for the item to get upgraded.
It is also used to enforce gating requirements when waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used as a gating requirement while waiting for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear (since PvP is capped at the lower levels). The average level of the item can be found on the character sheet.
The level of an item can help players evaluate the power of equipment when choosing to buy or sell. It's a measure of the item's damage and quality. The level of an item can be used to evaluate items when examining the inventory of a seller.
On PC, you are able to view the item level by pressing ALT or using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the complete description of the item, including its ilvl. It can also be located by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are many theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory is that the level is a number that comes from a formula that calculates how much an item's stats are worth. It takes into consideration that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in the sockets increase the item's value. This process can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl, which is typically close to Blizzard's real item level.
This isn't the only thing that affects the level of an item. The level of the area where the item was dropped may change its stats. For example, it could increase the item's haste or crit score. Items dropped in higher-level instances will have a higher ilvl.
Item Stats
The stats of an item can be the difference between a good or bad item upgrade for players. The game utilizes them in various ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to a single weapon and to encourage players to explore other weapons. The stat modifications of weapons boost base stats. These stat mods are then increased by a player's skill.
Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. A grey or white item, for example, will only be upgraded one time, while an item with rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times with higher prices.
Another way to change the stats on an item is through affixes. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to give items additional damage or special capabilities (such as revitalizing dead or reducing cooling downs) or to distinguish them by adding a name.
All affixes are being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a certain amount of gold and items which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other options for rerolling.
In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may also choose which of the available stats to be kept on an item when it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However each item will have at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an exclusive item or an item that has a God Roll from a raid boss.
This is another thing that can be modified by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes or choosing which stats to enhance. But, like base equipment, this would have to be done on a per-item level, and the interface for item comparison would not display all the possible stats gained or lost at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player boosts the chance of finding items as well as the properties created by loot and the strength of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with the chance to upgrade items gear earlier in the game. This is more useful for early game runs, because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.
Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith’s overall upgrade chances, which increase with each item upgrade level. It is also possible to be enhanced by using anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned using the Luck property, which has an initial value of 40. These items can be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck, or to increase the Luck of an item, up to 140.
Additionally there are certain items, such as the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be outfitted to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be found in the shop or crafted with the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Upgrades to items can be a costly process and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to boost their chances of success or even prevent themselves from losing an item if the upgrade items fails.
When you upgrade an item the success rate is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of successfully upgrading the item and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased by so much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..
The success of an upgrade is also affected by the Luck of that item. Every item has an overall success rate of 25%, and each item that has Luck increases this chance by 5%.
The upgrade overlays of the item are displayed above items in the inventory. This could cause obscurity to enchantment effects or other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the item upgrader (shenasname.ir) CORE client config.
