MadeForMums has tried the Cybex Avi Spin on our behalf and had the chance to test it along with Genevieve Gregson, one of the top middle-distance athletes in Australia who is also a new mother. We asked her what she thought about the pram and whether there was anything that could be improved.

The swivel can be locked to provide extra stability on uneven terrain or when running. The fully reclined seat has an ergonomic lie-flat position that's suitable from birth. The strap that is one-pull makes it easier to access and exit the seat, while the compact folding makes it easy to store or transport. Wheels can be easily removed for smaller fold. The brake lever is situated on the right hand side of the handlebar, which may make it difficult to use using just one hand.

It has a few drawbacks though it's not cheap and if you're looking for something to use from newborn and beyond then you might struggle to get a better deal elsewhere. It is also quite heavy, and you might require help to carry it into your car. There are also small honeycomb-like spots that are exposed at the bottom of the seat that could serve as an ideal place for dumping and spilled drinks.
