The S1 also did a fantastic job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving effortlessly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it was near carpet or carpet.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee an efficient, customized clean.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other messes. The sweeping power of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically swings out in order to get into areas that are difficult to reach and best robotic mop and vacuum pads that run across baseboards.

Its navigation is smart, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have problems with carpets with high piles or area rug, but it was unable to clean up cat litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
