It's also extremely quiet and works while you're at work or at school. It's not equipped with the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming that is offered by the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot in our tests that is fully self-refill and empty its base station, and it boasts industry-leading 12,000Pa suction and self-cleaning mop pads.

The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It has an easy mobile application interface, and it integrates with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only issue is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This can be a problem in mornings before work, or in the evening when you are trying to fall asleep.

It's also quite expensive, but not as expensive as the Ecovacs MaxV Ultra or Roborock S8 Omni, which are both equally impressive and attractive. If you're willing to put up with a little more noise and some extra cost, this is a very powerful two-in-one that will satisfy most people.
